Dani Gibson signs two-year contract extension with Somerset

Somerset have confirmed that Dani Gibson has signed a two-year contract extension with the county, keeping the England all-rounder at the club through the end of the 2028 season.

Gibson, who is 25 years old, has represented England on 41 occasions, accumulating 311 runs and 21 wickets at international level. She made her full international debut during the 2023 Ashes series.

In eight matches for Somerset, Gibson scored 262 runs with a best of 77 and also contributed with the ball, returning figures of two for 31. The extension ensures she will continue to be available for the county around her England commitments.

"I'm pleased to be committing my future to Somerset. It's an exciting time for the Club and this summer has shown what this squad is capable of. Since day one, the Club has made everyone feel like they belong here. We've got a really young group, so any chance they get to spend time around players like Dani and learn from her is a really good one.
